I’m Mark Prewitt, the owner of RDP Fly Rods. I believe in the Golden Rule, to treat others the way I want to be treated. When I realized how difficult it can be to find a rod that didn’t sacrifice quality to be affordable, I decided that I could provide them. I’ve worked hard to make RDP Fly Rods into a place where you can find a high quality fly rod at a reasonable price.
The RDP Fly Rods business is dedicated to my father and late brother, both of whom shared the initials “RDP.” My passion for building fly rods has led me to provide custom rods for people around the world with dependable tools to enjoy the sport we all love, and I continue to pass on what my father taught me as I teach local fly fishing classes.
I’ve been fly fishing for most of my life, having gotten my start when my father introduced my brothers and I to the sport. Eventually, I found myself making my own fly rods, and a friend asked me to do the same for him. Before long, I was making custom fly rods for a small community of friends and family.
